Join us on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 5-8 pm for a sewing class on how to make a

PILLOW BLANKET.

What is a Pillow Blanket you might ask? It is a cuddly fleece blanket that folds up into a square that fits inside a pillow sewn right on the blanket. So when it isn't in use, it just looks like a throw pillow but when you get cold you unfold it to cover up. A bonus is that the pillow square sewn on the blanket can double as a hood to wear as you wrap up in the blanket like a cape.

Fleece fabric comes in so many prints. These blankets are so handy and they make great gifts. The one we have pictured is ready to go to college with our graduate in the fall. We made ours with 2 different prints so it is reversible.

You can bring your own sewing machine or use one of ours. Jerseyville Public Library has sewing machines available for check out as well. Basic knowledge of your sewing machine is a plus but not a deal breaker for this project. It is very beginner friendly.
