Getting to Know Your Sewing Machine

In this class we will teach you the basics of how to use a sewing machine.

Maybe you are a total beginner?

Maybe you just have not sewn for a while?

Maybe you feel like you need a little bit of help?

Maybe you wish you knew what to do to use the machine to its fullest potential?

For this class you need to have a sewing machine in good working order, all the pieces, and your instruction book. Unfortunately we cannot fix broken machines. We do have some machines you can use to try out if you do not own a machine of your own. The Jerseyville Public Library also has 2 sewing machines available for check out to its patrons.

We will go over the basic workings of the machine, tools, and give you some tips and tricks. We will do some basic sample sewing.

This is a recurring class so if you can't make this time and date, check with us about other times. If you feel like you would like one on one lessons we have that available as well.
